I waited to post this in hopes corporate would help resolve this issue, but they are no longer responding.
On February 3rd, my husband picked up a clown cake for my sisters birthday (the cake on the left is what I ordered and the cake on the right is what I got). I contacted corporate the next day and they let me know a manager from this store would contact my husband. A week later my husband finally got a call from management and he let her know right away we were not looking for a full refund but a refund on the decoration costs. The manager stated, if we received a refund that a pregnant single mother would loose her job and she asked if that is what we wanted to happen. Of course we said, no that is not necessary we just wanted a refund of some sort. She then said if we were to bring the cake back untouched (a week after the party) we could have a full refund… and THEN she wanted to say, she was supposed to charge us more because of the “the eyes and all the other things” (though we paid more in store than online ordering, PLUS it was only icing used and not what was advertised)… I still am trying to understand the logic behind it all. So, moral of the story, if you plan on getting a decorated cake from this location be aware of what you could be receiving. This cake was not worth the $57 we paid.🙃

Ordered a cake for my sons birthday and received a call shortly after saying they didn’t have the mint chip ice cream I requested and wanted to know what other flavor I’d like. I explained I don’t want a different flavor, just cancel my order. I never picked up a cake but was still charged. I’ve tried to reach out to management but keep getting told manager isn’t there. I’ve launched a complaint with my credit card company in hopes of getting back the money they took from me.

If I could give it -10 stars I would me & my family came in for ice cream simple requests btw 1) they were not wearing gloves when scooping or handling the ice cream 2) they act like they didn’t know how to make a simple Oreo sundae when they have a guide book that tells you exactly how to make it the only difference I wanted was one scoop of rocky road ice cream and they kept asking am I sure and all these other questions 3) they kept missing steps didn’t layer my sundae correctly 4) the hot fudge wasn’t even hot fudge it was some type of chocolate goop 5) AGAIN NOBODY WAS WEARING GLOVES 6) the store looked filthy tables were not clean the back was not clean as well and the crazy part about it all the manager was also NOT WEARING GLOVES while handling the ice cream and also did not know how to make the sundae when trying to help the worker that was making my sundae overall horrible/ stressful experience these new workers and management need to go bcuz they are clearly not doing there jobs with all these other recent complaints and I never ever leave reviews but this was just terrible

Get place to level up your knowledge skill. Besides that, I asked for a Wings of Fire book when I was a kid and they double checked to make sure I wasn’t talking about the 18+ version instead of the dragon version, so the staff seem to be good.

I have a prescription for a three month supply every three months, for a year. Other pharmacies, including CVS, have never had an issue filling this. I don’t understand why this Walgreens location doesn’t have what they’re customers need in stock…ever! If someone has a prescription for a year and it’s to fill three months at a time, I should not be told every three months you don’t have it in stock or you can only do a partial fill. Also, the pharmacist seems annoyed when you ask him a question. And he could care less that a partial refill is inconvenient for you. I’m only using Walgreens because it’s the preferred pharmacy through my employer. Trying to give them a chance, but I’m disappointed so far.

Pharmacist was not very welcoming. Maybe in a hurry, but did not do his job correctly and gave an excuse. Me plus two other family members went in for appointments in a row and all asked for our boosters and flu shots… All three of us wrote on our forms that we wanted to receive both vaccines. We all three only got the booster. I later on called and pharmacist gave an excuse and couldn’t get me off the phone any faster, he didn’t let me respond and when he finished his sentence he hung up. If he did his job and read the papers he would know what he went in for.

Horrible customer service. Cashier completely incompetent. Went in and ask a simple question about the stuff at the front and he told me to go to back of line because it was busy . So after I did waiting 15 min . He then proceeds to not help me and get on his phone anyways . Please hire a decent human. Thanks

Edit 2/17/2022-

This is the store at 3rd & Ward. I stopped shopping here except for a very few items. They took out half of the produce section to add in kitchen gadgets and items, dedicated an entire isle to just candy and added in a shoe and clothing section..I guess that’s why the health market is now just barely anything. Oh, and the in-store prices have gone up quite a bit as well. The old layout was really great and the store may have been a bit tired but it didn’t need to be completely changed like this. Only thing I like now is the wine and spirits section and the bakery..the sweets look and taste really good and having fresh bread choices is great. Sorry Hy-vee, but you lost me.

Original review-
This is my main grocery store. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable and if they don’t know, they ask. Pretty good selection. Big, bright and clean. Good health market, deli and meat counter. They also upgraded the bake shop. Deli and bake shop will give kids a snack and they don’t mind if the kiddos munch on some fruit either.

If they forget items they can’t provide a refund without you returning to the store. I’m disabled, so twice now I haven’t been able to return and have not been reimbursed for my items as it is weeks later when I can get back.

Edit #1 – Hello store owner, please change your refund policies. Why is it if a fast food restaurant forgets to make part of my food they can refund my card over the phone but your organization cannot? It is because you simply choose not to, as the policy allows you to keep those funds by inconveniencing your customer. Those that are disabled are much more impacted. I am not interested in speaking with you or doing business with your company any longer, Ill take my business to a competitor.

It’s nice. However, it makes no difference if you don’t care about the needs of military families and rummage through paying customers’ luggage. You are off the list. I’m sure it’s expensive. The negative far outweighs positive. There are tons of beautiful places in this city that will let you have fun and respect the military service members.

Absolutely gorgeous event space! Tons of charm that other rental spaces lack. It feels sophisticated and cozy not cookie cutter and cold like some places. The down downside is parking in downtown LS on a weekend for an event. I had to park two blocks and an alley away in heels! Other than that your guests would be impressed. The staff was wonderful as well.

Nice size water park with a large lazy river, decent sized kiddie pool, two water slides (the yellow one was the best!) and a wave pool. I’m not sure of every feature, just listed the ones I’ve attended. The pools were all cold, it was like getting inside of a cup of ice water 😭 highly suggest going on a hot day! Also, the workers/ lifeguards really aren’t organized at all and pretty much just let people do whatever. Though it was a lot of people, there were plenty of areas to find a beach chair to claim. No one messed with anyones stuff that wasn’t in lockers, but overall it’s really a great place for families to go swim!

It was a good time bowling. Don’t and I mean DO NOT order food from here. I got a hamburger and it was raw in the middle informed them I wanted a well done and when I got my 2nd burger it still was Pink not as bad as the 1st though, fries were greasy or half cooked. Just a no go. The guy who I told bout my burger was nice and that was it. I wouldn’t go there again

There is no denying that this is a beautiful showroom with a large selection, but we couldn’t anyone to help us. There was a gentleman working that was going above and beyond in helping a couple pick out tile- laying out numerous options and ideas. We had to ask the lady working there for help numerous times and each time she would point in the general direction in which to go, but wouldn’t actually help us. We had picked out all of the tile for our new build, but ultimately walked out without ordering anything due to her unwillingness to assist us. Very disappointed.

If you need a church in Lees Summit this is the best! The inside is quite pretty, especially at night. The church services are wonderful. The many many activities have everything you could want. Many active parishioners at OLP. A great place to call home.

I have been a Mazuma member since 1990. Mazuma staff at the various offices have always been courteous and helpful. I often refer others to Mazuma because of their excellent customer service, convenient branch locations, free statements (whether mailed or online), and low fees.

Terrible service..
Calling and going through the automated system is a nightmare. You must allocate 2 to 3 hours, get transferred around, and then maybe you’ll have a question answered.
