The young lady that worked the counter and had been coordinating through the person that was setting up the room for me. She also had a smile on her face when I showed up @ around 0130. She had everything I needed that was waiting on me there.
I can't say enough good things about her. Very pleasant, and extremely helpful.
I have no complaints.
The rooms were outstanding. They were clean they were more than clean they were military inspection ready. It was a great great experience for what little time I got to spend there.

The hotel is conveniently located just east of KC, just off the interstate, and not far from the Truman Presidential Library and the Royals baseball stadium. My request for an upper level floor away from traffic was honored. The bed was comfortable. The furnishings were fine. But, the bathroom floor was noticeably worn from mopping. Also the stairwell carpeting was discolored with wear. All of the employees were friendly and helpful.

Such a great stay!
I was in town for a work conference. The staff were extremely friendly from the moment we walked in.
I was pleasantly surprised with a very nice message on a card from the housekeeper. It made my day!! The room was very clean, I felt very comfortable & all staff were very accommodating!
Breakfast was very good, waffles, eggs, bacon, fruit, juice and coffee! The staff were right there to ensure I had everything I needed! These workers deserve a raise and a pat on the back! I would 100% recommend this hotel if you're ever in that area!!

I also have been going to this store for years. I always loved the staff, convenient location, very helpful and friendly. However it seems the store is under new ownership and they must've gotten rid of all the former employees which is a shame. Now, the service is extremely slow. I came in to this location on a Sunday. Only one person was working, there was a line and the man working didn't even acknowledge any of us standing there waiting. He was slow, almost rude. He slurped his drink while helping the man in front of me. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I will not come back to this location.

I have been going to this store for years. The new management / ownership has me making a change. The last few times that I went in for service, I was treated rudely and the assistance I received was less than stellar. Today however sealed the deal. I will not return. The individual whom helped ( I use this term loosely) my wife was horrible. His demeanor was downright sexist and rude. His lack of customer service and just general human decency is concerning. Horrible customer service, taking advantage of customers making an Amazon return difficult when that's probably the easiest thing they do. He questioned the email from Amazon on the return, questioned her about why the background was a different color (dark mode on the phone) and was generally accusatory of everything. Worst service here ever. Will be finding a new location for copies, shipping and returns.

So this is going to be an unorthodox 5 star review. This is pretty much the least expensive hotel in the area and it is very true that when it comes to hotels you get what you pay for. It should also be noted that my wife has become accustomed to a certain standard when it comes to living arrangements.
When my wife and I walked in for a 2 night stay we instantly noticed a smell that resembled a very harsh cleaning solution. When we got into the room, the bed was way too soft for us and the bathroom/shower were too small for us (we aren't small people). Again, you get what you pay for, you can't expect a grand bathroom at this price. Even so my wife was not at all happy.
We walked back downstairs within minutes of checking in to tell the front desk attendant that we were very sorry but we could not stay there. He said that he did not have authorization to do any kind of refunds but we should call back in the morning as the manager would be in. We agreed and left to stay at a different (much more expensive, mind you) hotel.
I called back the next morning, started to say who I was, and the manager says "Is this the person in room number XXX?". I responded that yes I was. He very kindly informed me that he had already processed the refund and he was very sorry for our experience. He certainly had no obligation to do this as I'm sure the paperwork I signed prior to the stay protects them from any action in a case just like this one.
While this was not the hotel for us, this certainly fits the bill for lots of people. It is refreshing to know that true customer service still exists and we are very thankful that he was so understanding and I didn't have to fight to get my refund.

Not a great place to stay. I guess you get what you pay for. The rooms smelled pretty bad, the front desk clerk rolled his eyes at just about anything including checking in, and the breakfast selection was minimal. The rooms are incredibly old and not kept up too great. If you're just looking for a place to sleep along I70, I guess this place would work.

the room was very small, bugs were in the beds and on the floor the pool is way smaller than it looks in the photos and the outside of the hotel looks very lowly maintained as well as the fact as there are cracks in the windows that are fixed with TAPE. the front desk lady was really insanely rude and unhelpful for no reason. they have vending machines but only one of them have food in it.they're breakfast is disgusting and there's not really anything there and they have terrible coffee. the beds themselves are pretty comfy however the blankets and the sheets are scratchy and uncomfortable. if i could rate this a 0 i definitely would, the hotel looks nothing like the pictures.

We purchased a Fremont seafood boil and could not eat it; had to throw it away because the muscle shells were shattered all over the rest if the meal. Was not interested in a trip to the ER with perforated stomach or intestines. Great ieda…poor execution…only our second trip with trials of their food. The store was clean, not enough checkers….undecided if will return.

I wish I could give zero stars. I made sure to call and get very specific information regarding cost for an ultrasound following a mammogram event. I was told an exact amount for what I would have to pay out of pocket for the services before I made the appointment. I shared my concerns for some surprise bill and was told that I would only pay 'x' amount. I did pay the amount I was told on time and then recieved a surprise bill a month later for over $460 more. I filed a dispute with St. Mary's and recieved a one sentence response stating that my dispute was 'investigated and it was determined that the balance is your (my) responsibility.' They did not disclose any information they uncovered from their investigation. I was flat out lied to at registration and now am stuck with a bill that I don't deserve. This hospital is a complete disappointment.
*Edited to include:
St. Mary's responded to this review with an email. I sent a detailed email to the address provided on May 13, 2022. It is nearly a month later and I have never received an email or call. I have also called patient care (as directed by the business office), left messages, and never receive a call back.

Floors very dirty and sticky. My nurse spent about 10 minutes in my room in 10 hrs. This place is in great need of improvements.

My mother went to St Mary's for a routine colonoscopy last Friday after getting them done at the Kansas City VA Hospital for years. And to say I was very happy with my mothers care is an understatement. My mothers nurses were so kind to her and to me. We had some small requests and they were very happy to oblige. At the VA, asking them to simply let my mom have her glasses in recovery was like asking a 4 year old to put a coat on over their Halloween costume. They fought it so hard.
We were in and out in under 3 hours. Not to mention, the doctor came and talked to my mom about what they did etc. at the VA, it would take them 8 hours from checking in to being released. And wouldn't speak to the doctor.
I highly recommend St Mary's.

I love the fact that you have baskets for us to carry around in the store. I didn't realize how much I liked these until I went to a store that did not have them. I find this so completely logical to have a basket so that guy can walk around the store and throw in 1 million little things. Without that basket I will not get a shopping cart. I will just walk out with whatever is in my hand. So I also love the way the store is organized it is very comparable to other stores which makes it very easy to shop in. Everyone seems very nice and polite and professional.

I appreciate the variety of crafts & supplies offered by Hobby Lobby. Even just browsing through the store inspires ideas for me. Unfortunately, I find the prices are a little more than I'm able to afford on a lot of things I know I could find elsewhere, meeting my needs & within my budget.
